sailfish tours in Costa Rica

Sailfish is named for its high, wide dorsal fin, colored deep blue with black spots. It is related to the Marlin and the Swordfish. Arturo's Tours is pleased to offer a variety of fishing packages to beautiful Quepos, Costa Rica on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. November-April is peak sailfish season, but this species is abundant here every month of the year. The sport fishing in Quepos is simply World Class. In fact, many World Record catches have been taken offshore from Quepos because Quepos is right in the middle of the main billfishing area of Costa Rica.

The Costa Rica billfishing scene in the Pacific is teeming with Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna, Roosterfish and Snapper from October to May. Our season runs from November through August. This is broken into two periods, November-March and April-August, leaving September and October as the only non-fishing months because this is the peak of the rainy season. April-August is rainy season and yet the seas are calmer at this time. November-March is dry (and windy) season and is the tourist high season.
