Big Game Sport Fishing in Quepos

The sport fishing in Quepos is simply World Class. In fact, many World Record catches have been taken offshore from Quepos because Quepos is right in the middle of the main billfishing area of Costa Rica.

Our season runs from November through August. This is broken into two periods, Nov-Mar and Apr-Aug, leaving September and October as the only non-fishing months because this is the peak of the rainy season.

Apr-Aug is rainy season and yet the seas are calmer at this time. Nov-Mar is dry (and windy) season and is the tourist high season.

Although we provide the chart below to highlight the peak season for each species, the fact is that any of these fish can be caught at any time of the year.
